I like it when people send me news articles to look at. It
exercises my thought process and requires me to look at an issue in a logical
manner. I received two articles this morning from a friend.
The first one: http://www.cnn.com/2017/11/29/politics/sessions-opioid-news-conference-marijuana/index.html
The video is a must watch. My opinion on the use of CBD in
medical situations? Absolutely. I have seen firsthand the effects of opioid use
and how a person who uses CBD to alleviate chronic pain instead of the opioids.
I have seen how the use of medicinal marijuana is used effectively for PTSD. I
know the use of CBD in epileptic seizures if amazingly effective. Why wouldn’t
you want to use a method of treatment that works?
The second news story I received was: http://www.cnn.com/2017/11/29/politics/supreme-court-fourth-amendment-case/index.html
While I tend to disagree with the ACLU on a variety of
issues they represent, I applaud their advocacy on this issue.
"This case is the first chance to start to set
reasonable limits applicable to requests for these kinds of digital-age records
by making clear that a warrant will sometimes be required," said Nathan
Freed Wessler, an American Civil Liberties Union lawyer opposing the government
in the case.
It is amazing to think that a governmental agency can do a
massive sweep of all the private calls and text messages I send. I hope the
SCOTUS opinion leans towards freedom and not Big Brother.
