#AZGivesDay

Today is Arizona Gives Day. I’ve heard of this before but never really paid any attention to it. You see, I am a part of a group of people in this country who believe that giving of themselves is more than just on one day a year.

Riding a motorcycle is always a feel-good event. But when you combine your riding pleasure with a cause for the greater good of society, benefiting those less fortunate, the experience and personal satisfaction is elevated beyond the common Sunday morning ride.
Motorcyclists are the largest charitable group of folks in our country and host hundreds of rallies and races nationwide for the sole purpose of donating to needy causes. These bikers ride for all sorts of charities, from supporting firefighters and non-profits to fighting terminal illnesses and helping chronically ill children. Not only do Arizona bikers collectively travel millions of miles for these causes, but they also raise millions of dollars for these charities too. Anyone can donate some money, but only motorcyclists can bring attention to a cause through the simple act of riding en masse with like-minded motorcyclists.

Arizona Bike Week starts tomorrow. Check out some of the rides and events that really give back to our community.

Enjoy the ride and remember to be good to one another.
