Honoring a local soldier

On October 21st, I was able to be a part of honoring a local soldier. I am a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. These are just a few of the pictures from that day. It was amazing to see 137 motorcyces with American flags waving escorting this hero to his final resting place.

This young Sgt. gave his life willing for our country. My heart goes out to his family and a thank you to them for allowing me to be a part of honoring this American hero.

Here are the words that this young Sgt wrote home:

"Dear Everybody,
Well, if you're reading this, then I've moved on to bigger and better things ...
I love you all and I'm proud of what I did. Know that I died doing something I love and wanted to do, and there's nowhere else in the world I would rather have been.
Love,
Nick Sowinski"

Remember those who don't make it home to their families and hold yours close tonight. Thanks Sgt. Sowinski for you willingness to serve. You will be remembered always. God bless.
