A brave woman passed away today

Rosa Parks was remembered Tuesday as the mother of the civil rights movement, a powerful but quiet voice for equality and as a humble woman who did not seek the limelight.

Parks died Monday night in Detroit, Michigan. She was 92.

Ms. Parks stood her ground for something she believed in 50 years ago. Can you believe that we live in a country that 50 years ago people were judged by the color of ther skin? I am glad that things have changed somewhat. I am grateful I grew up in a multi-cultural city like Miami. I am glad that I can teach my daughters to look at a person's heart not just the skin color.

Thank you Ms. Parks for your conviction. God bless you.
